Tonight Wicked Divas was in town to perform with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and I went with my mom to see this lovely performance. We loved every minute of it! Backed by a symphony the two lovely "Divas" who both starred on Broadway's Wicked, performed Broadway hits, followed by pop songs and even a disco tribute to Donna Summer and Barbra Streisand. They were truly talented and we could not have had a better time.

A night like this also called for a little dressing up, I rushed home from work and immediately went to my closet thinking two things 1. warmth 2. classic feel.... I ended up pulling out all thrifted pieces that I had recently purchased and had yet to feature in a haul video.

Fur stole $20
Braclet and shoes are unknown. (Sorry I've had them for a while)

As for hair and makeup I kept it simple with a winged eyeliner look and a simple side part with soft curls.

I love the retro vibe I got from this outfit and really liked the inexpensive price tag this old hollywood vibe carried off. Stay tuned for more great looks and thanks to my mom for an amazing girls night out. xo

This girl and her idiotic hateful comments

So the initial comment didn't bother me but then I noticed after throwing out insults she subscribed to my channel........ REALLY?!??!

This is a new level of hateration that I have yet to see.... so I'm retarded and yet she wants to subscribe to my channel and watch my videos? She clearly is the challenged one in this situation, or maybe she just likes to hear about thrift store shopping from a retarded person. My philosophy is simple, you don't like my channel or a video that I am in then click the hell off of the video and move the hell on, I'm sure you have something better to be doing.

As for the idiot comment she left after realizing she subbed me I had to respond but didn't realize that Jon (my boyfriend was also responding).

In all honesty this is not something I sit on youtube doing but this girl is committed to just being a bitter person and I commend her for that because even after subscribing she still went on my channel to talk crap

Well... I don't know the first thing about make-up but i attempt, i keep it real simple. My question to you is do you have any tutorials AND how do i find the right colors for my skin (i have to hire you as personal stylist but i will settle for this lol)

My one suggestion would be sit at home and play around just like I did when I was first starting out with makeup..... I would be at home looking like a fierce drag queen while washing the dishes, just dont over do it if something happens and you have to run out or someone knocks at the door you dont wanna scare people (yup I've had this happen ahah).

Finding the right color comes down to a few basics for instance if you have a cool or warm undertone, and also having a good foundation match (even skin that matches your neck, arms and the rest of your body is huge). Finding the right foundation can be easy as going into a local store like ulta or sephora and simple testing colors along the jawline to see how they match up. If you are a woman of color like myself sometimes this can be tricky because lets be honest the makeup industry is dominated by shades of ivory, which can be frustrating. I have had to in the past blend colors because I've found that I am in between certain shades when it comes to certain brands of foundation. You always want to keep in mind that the color you wear is to even your skin tone and to never change it and always remember to blend along the jawline and a little down the neck to dull the line where your makeup stops and your natural skin starts. For other colors such as eye shadows, blush, lipstick etc.... I recommend playing up your natural features and going with colors that compliment your natural beauty. For instance if you have brown eyes purple, greens and even blues become a really great accent (then again with brown eyes it's really easy to make them pop just by choosing the right shade of eyeshadow). For blush if you are a warmer skin tone I recommend colors like corals and bronze which are warmer and will create a more natural effect that lets say putting on a streak of pale pink.

Invisible! Just seems like alot of fun, I'm always too preoccupied with my own random thoughts so I don't think I have room to read other peoples minds but being invisible would be alot of fun! FREE ACCESS TO CONCERTS and I may even be able to get away with flying for free...... ohhhhh and I'd have less need to do laundry lol

Sometimes when thrifting you don't always get something that works for you or a size that fits the way you'd like whether it may be too small, too large are in some cases looked better in your head before you tried it on and I one case I felt as if I was wear a set of curtains.
This is why I always stress trying things on if you are able to in order to avoid any major let downs. I've decided to share some of my misses with you all since I've always focused on sharing the things I've bought versus the things I wished could have worked. It's fair to say blazers happened to be what I was shopping for today since it seemed to be the only thing I tried on!
